Mum’s great grandma on granddad’s side came from Goosnargh this is her recipe.
Serves: 12 biscuits
Time: 30 minutes
Ingredient
- 300g Plain flour
- 1 pack of Butter (250g)
- 50g Castor Sugar (plus a little bit for the tops)
- 2 teaspoon Caraway seed
Method
- Place all the ingredients in a bowl and knead with the heel of the hand until a pliable dough is obtained.
- Roll out fairly thick and cut into rounds (about 6 cm diameter) and place on lightly greased baking sheet.
- With a teaspoon place a little sugar on the top of each cake.
- Preheat oven to 150°C and cook for 20 minutes.
- Cool on wire tray and store in airtight tin.
